Welcome to Matching Green CE Primary School, we are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

My name is Miss Wareham and as the Headteacher I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my vision for the school:

Matching Green CE Primary School seeks to serve the children in our community, recognising that we are all unique individuals.  We want all to flourish and to experience ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) with a lifelong love of learning; by providing a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that engages with our head, heart and hands.  

At the end of their time at Matching Green children will have had an education that has been inspiring and has united their academic development with their spiritual, moral and cultural development.  The broad and rich curriculum they have been taught will be exciting, creative and relevant to today’s society allowing them to flourish in knowledge, skills and wisdom. Our children will be equipped with the essential skills for modern life and will have an understanding of how to look after their own and others wellbeing and mental health; their confidence and independence will be nurtured. 

Children will only make good progress with their learning if their wellbeing is also looked after. At Matching Green CE Primary School we are lucky to have small class sizes which enables all members of staff to know the children and therefore know when they may need some extra support.  We pride ourselves on being a caring environment both for our children and for their families.  Teaching children the Christian Values and how these can reflect on their daily lives is an important ethos of our school.

Primary schools years are when a lifelong love of learning begins, where children are starting out on a journey away from the family home and are finding out about new social situations and scenarios.  School days should be enjoyable and unforgettable; full of proud moments for all the small and big achievements that are made in a safe, engaging, friendly environment.  I am very proud to be the Headteacher at Matching Green and I am really looking forward to being with your children on their journey through our school, watching them grow, learn and achieve.
